Administration and Human Resources DO NOT treat all employees fairly

Some of the department heads are what makes you dread working here. Your concerns and opinions don’t matter. If you try to express them you get made out to look like the bad employee. Have seen several outstanding employees leave due to upper management.

Very fun and respectful

I loved working for Absentee and if I were given the opportunity again I would take it. The employees and tribal members are so kind and thoughtful.

Management in my department was great, HR was joke

My manager was great! I enjoyed my job. However the human resource is a joke, and the politics there is crazy. I wouldn't recommend anyone to work there. If you have to watch your back everyday you go to work then it's not worth it.

Great teamwork and less stress

One of the best medical jobs yet. Getting time off is easy, great co workers, good management, not stressful, caring providers. They train to full competence and there is always resources available when needed. Reduced rate daycare right on campus.

Amazing Workplace

I love working at the Camp Nikoti summer camp. I've been a counselor for two years now and it's easily been the best and most fun job I've ever been able to experience. Everyone is so kind and every work day has fun energy that can't be beat.

Provided good health to patients

Stayed busy everyday of the week. Able to work with each department working to make each job proficient in the EHR system. Assisted patients with their patient portal access. As well as worked closely with Providers and Nurses.

Beware

Tribal government is unstable and this causes job security issues. Often the departments are operated under a elected official which if the official doesn't like you or your family you can be subjected to AT WILL and nothing you can do or say will change that unless you want court fees.

It's always rewarding to work with patients and helping them improve thier overall health

Very rewarding and fun to work with our patients. I love what I do and love to see patients getting confident and feeling stronger. Its very rewarding to get a pt. A1C, blood pressure, and weight go down. It even better when I watch these patients get off medication from just adjusting their lifestyle.

Quick paced

If you love a fast paced environment this would be a good place to work. Benefits were good. lots of paid time off. schedule is somewhat flexible. Could be stressful at times.

hostile work environment

long hours, high employee turn over, prejudicial co-workers because I am not native american. I did enjoy the rapport that I had with the providers and the opportunity to help educate them on their evaluation and management and procedural coding.
