Does One Sky Family Medicine have online office visits?

While we are excited to offer online access for appointment requests, prescription refills, lab results, administrative questions and certain follow up questions, we don't yet offer online office visits. We do offer same day office visits for urgent issues.

Does Tracy McDaniel have an on line response system?

I had several appointments with Tracy McDaniel, N.D. that were disastrous.  She touts an on-line response system where she will communicate with patients but this is not the case.  Questions went unanswered  on the on-line system necessitating numerous phone calls to the front office who just put me off saying Dr. McDaniel was not available.

What kinds of women's health services does One Medical provide?

Our providers can help you with everything from Pap tests to guidance and counseling on birth control, breast cancer screening, and menopause. And of course we work closely with many of the best OB/GYN specialists in the area, should you ever need a referral.

Do I need to do anything special to book a women's health appointment?

To schedule a Pap test, get tested for STDs, discuss contraception options, ask questions about menopause, or address any other non-pregnancy-related women’s health needs, please book an appointment with your primary care provider.

I'm positive that I need to see a specialist, and my insurance requires a referral. Can One Medical help?

Absolutely! Feel free to submit a referral request to your provider through your online One Medical account. Your PCP will review your request and, if appropriate, can refer you directly to a specialist, bypassing the additional office visit.

At Health One Family Medicine, we value the health of every family member and want to make sure that our services are affordable for every patient. For that reason, we accept a wide variety of insurances. If you have any questions about the type of insurances we accept, please call our office. There will be a $25 charge for any missed appointments that are not cancelled 24 hours in advance. **Please Note: We are not accepting Molina, TRICARE, or Ambetter Insurance.

How long is the Skyline annual exam?

A typical annual exam takes about 15 minutes.

Where did Melynda join Skyline?

Melynda joined the Skyline family in June 2017. She graduated from the University of Colorado with a bachelor's degree in biology. She then received a Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Midwestern University, Glendale, AZ in 2011.

Is Jared from Skyline married?

Jared has been part of the Skyline family since 2013. He graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor's degree in Biology and Business. He then received a Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from A.T. Still University, Mesa, AZ in 2012. Jared is also a Captain in the United States Air Force, Air National Guard working in the medical group. Born in Sacramento, CA, Jared grew up in Mesa, AZ. He is married with 3 handsome boys and 2 beautiful girls. His hobbies include fishing, camping, and drawing.

Does Skyline Medicine perform prostate exams?

Of interest, Skyline Medicine is following current national cancer screening recommendations by not routinely performing rectal, breast, and prostate exams unless family or personal medical history warrants them. Feel free to refuse any part of the exam with which you’re uncomfortable.

Does Skyline Medicine have an annual exam?

Yes. All new patients to Skyline Medicine will receive an annual exam during their first visit so our providers can review all medical conditions, medications, medication interactions, medical history, allergies to medications, past medical records, family history, recent hospitalizations, lab work, immunization history, living situation, and all other relevant medical information that will ensure a thorough and accurate first visit for all of our patients. During the first visit it is critical that the information provided in the new patient paper work is as accurate as possible because medical decision-making for the first and future visits depends on it. For established patients, if you are here for a scheduled office visit and it has been more than 1 year since you’ve had an annual exam with Skyline Medicine, we will perform the annual exam during this visit.

Does Skyline Medicine accept Blue Cross Blue Shield?

As of January 1, 2020 we have decided to no longer accept Banner Blue Cross Blue Shield Advantage HMO insurance. If you would like to continue being seen at Skyline Medicine, please contact your insurance broker to explore alternative insurance plans.

Does Skyline offer pap smears?

Yes. Gynecologists are experts in women’s health, Skyline providers are experts in general medicine. We also offer pap smears, in-house DEXA scans, and mammogram orders where appropriate. During the annual exam, our providers also monitor vital organs like the heart and circulatory system, lungs, kidneys, neurological system, etc. We also evaluate your emotional and social well-being.
