Appointments

So that we may provide efficient delivery of your health care, we see patients by appointment only. New patients need to arrive 30 minutes early. Please bring the following items with you to your appointment:

Telephone

After regular office hours, you will receive a recorded message on the office answering system. It is very important that you leave your name, telephone number, and a reason for your call. Emergency messages will be forwarded to the doctor on call. However, for life-threatening emergencies please call 911.

Prescriptions

If you have medications that need to be refilled, please call your prescriptions to your pharmacy. Allow 24 hours for refills to be completed. Prescriptions will only be refilled during business hours.

Insurance Information

We will file all insurance claims with the information provided to us. If we have filed your insurance or liability claim for you and we have not received payment after sixty (60) days the responsibility for payment of our charges rests with the patient, not with the insurance company or an attorney.

Where do you send test results?

Test results are sent to your physician, who usually will discuss this information and a treatment plan with you at a follow-up office visit.

Can a doctor order a CAT scan?

In order to determine your specific health care problem, your physician may order a variety of diagnostic tests. Routine tests, such as X-rays, may be performed in our office. However, your physician may order more complex tests, such as an MRI or CAT scan, to diagnose your problem. Area hospitals and free-standing diagnostic centers often perform these tests and bill separately for these services.

Does OSI accept insurance?

OSI participates in most health care plans in the Kansas City area. If you are not sure whether we accept your insurance coverage, please feel free to contact our office before your first visit to make sure we accept your insurance carrier.
