What is my wakehealth portal?

Our myWakeHealth patient portal is a free, simple and secure way to help you better access the information you need to manage your care.

How to view my WakeHealth history?

You will still have full access to your existing myUNCChart to view your past medical record information. Only the last two years of your test results and any immunizations will migrate into myWakeHealth, but you can easily manage and view your two accounts by using Happy Together within myWakeHealth. Go to Settings > Manage My Accounts. Rest assured that your doctors always have access to your historical information.

When can I join myWakeHealth?

You can join now! Use your enrollment email or sign up online. If you already have a myWakeHealth account, you do not need to re-enroll.

Will I be able to message my doctor in myWakeHealth?

Yes, but the ability to message will not be active immediately when you join myWakeHealth even though you have an existing relationship with a former High Point Regional Health or UNC Regional Physician provider. When you first join, the portal considers you a new Wake Forest Baptist Health patient, so messaging will activate with each doctor two days before the first appointment you have scheduled with that doctor after September 1, 2018. After that, you can message your doctor as usual for up to a year after your visit.

Can I view my doctor's notes in myWakeHealth?

This feature must be viewed on a computer. It is currently not available on the MyChart mobile platform. To view notes, go to your After Visit Summaries and click on the Notes tab. Doctor's notes typically appear within a week of your appointment.

Can I view the health record of a family member or another individual in myWakeHealth?

Yes, in certain instances. To protect the privacy of a patient's health information, access to another person's record must be authorized through what is called proxy access. Parents/legal guardians who have received proxy access authorization have full access to records of children under age 12 and limited proxy access for ages 12 to 17. How do I view my minor child's record in myWakeHealth?

Proxy access is available for parents/guardians of minor patients. Please ask a member of your child's health care team for assistance.

Important Changes for North Carolina Managed Medicaid Patients

Open enrollment has closed for NC Managed Medicaid. If you did not enroll, NC Medicaid auto-enrolled you into a health plan so there is no lapse in your coverage. You can expect to receive a confirmation notice and a health plan welcome packet from NC Medicaid. New plans took effect on July 1.

Wake Forest Baptist Health may provide notice by e-mail to the e-mail address you provided Wake Forest Baptist Health during the registration process, by a general notice on the myWakeHealth Services Web site, or by written communication delivered by first class U. S. mail or express courier to your address on record in the myWakeHealth Services account information. You may give notice to Wake Forest Baptist Health at any time via electronic mail to [email protected] or by letter delivered by first class postage prepaid U. S. mail or overnight courier to mywakehealth team, Wake Forest Baptist Health, Medical Center Boulevard, Winston-Salem, N.C. 27157.

What is a Wake Forest Baptist medical record?

Your Wake Forest Baptist Health Medical Record is created to store your personal health information electronically, including health conditions, allergies and medications. Any information provided as part of your use of the myWakeHealth Services may become part of your Wake Forest Baptist Health Medical Record. You agree to provide accurate information for your Wake Forest Baptist Health Medical Record, to periodically review such information and to update such information as necessary. For additional information regarding use of your Wake Forest Baptist Health Medical Record, please see our Notice of Privacy Practices. In certain circumstances, Wake Forest Baptist Health may provide certain information to your health plan or insurance company regarding your use of Wake Forest Baptist Health services if permitted by law or if such entity represents it has obtained any required consents. How to enroll in the patient portal?

To enroll in the patient portal, you must receive services at one of our locations. To create an account, you may self-enroll here. Alternatively, you may contact the location where you received care and tell them you would like to make an account. Registration requires an email and a valid ID.

How are messages sent to your provider's office transferred?

All messages sent to your provider’s office are transferred via a secure server compliant with HIPAA standards.

What is the RWJBarnabas portal?

The RWJBarnabas Health Patient Portal is a free service that provides convenient access to your personal health care information in a secure online environment. With the patient portal, you can view select test results, access your medical records and track your health information.

Can you access read only medical records?

At the hospital patient portal, you can access read-only medical information through our secure server. This includes educational materials, information on your current medications, allergies, immunizations, health issues, and lab test results. All information is pulled directly from your electronic health records. Due to the sensitive nature of radiology and pathology test results, these are not available on the patient portal and must be obtained through the hospital’s Health Information Department.

Is RWJBarnabas Health a centralized portal?

RWJBarnabas Health is in the process transitioning all of our hospitals to a centralized patient portal called MyChart where all hospitals’ records will eventually be contained within one system for your convenience. Please be assured that you will always have access to your medical records.
