If you have your NetID and UCR password, Log In to your MyUCR account to see your official admission status. Forgot your password ? If you applied for admission but have not created a MyUCR password, please locate the email sent to you from UC Riverside Undergraduate Admissions that contained log in instructions and a link to create a password.

How to make an appointment at SHS?

Appointments can only be made by phone. Please call the Student Health Services (SHS) appointment line at (951) 827-3031 for an appointment. Online appointments and walk-in appointments are not currently available due to COVID-19. This action is being taken to ensure that all students are fully and effectively screened for COVID-19 symptoms prior to their appointment. All screening will occur outside the front entrance before you enter the SHS building. Please complete the Daily Wellness Survey prior to arriving on campus. Masks are required at all time.

Seasonal Influenza Vaccine (Flu Shot) The flu vaccine is required for all students living, learning, or working on campus beginning fall quarter 2020.

How long does it take to get a TB test at UCR?

Students who have completed the questionnaire and are found to be at high risk for TB must provide proof of a negative TB test, completed within 12 months of entry to UCR.

Is CDPH reflected in UC requirements?

Please note that revisions to the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) recommendations will be reflected in UC requirements for the subsequent academic term.

Does UCR have immunization?

As part of our ongoing commitment to campus-wide health and safety, UCR has implemented an immunization plan. All students are required to complete their immunization dates and submit proof of their immunization records for the UC required vaccines in their patient portal. You must take the TB Screening questions and complete any additional TB clearance requests if needed. Failure to comply will result in a registration hold. Please review the UC Immunization Policy.

What is UCR pharmacy?

UCR Student Health Services' pharmacy’s mission is to provide professional pharmacy services to help improve the health and well-being of UCR students. We strive to make access to prescription and non-prescription medications convenient and affordable so that students can better focus their attention on academic endeavors.

How to transfer a prescription to UCR?

To transfer a prescription to UCR, provide the other pharmacy name, phone number, and drug name or prescription number.

How to refill a prescription?

How to Refill a Medication. If your prescription has refills, you can refill your medication by calling our pharmacy at (951) 827-3926. You can also secured-message us in the patient portal. Requesting a refill in-person at the pharmacy is possible, but the wait time may be longer.

Does Optum RX work with UCSHIP?

Our pharmacy will bill Optum Rx for you if you are enrolled in UCSHIP. We do not bill any other insurance plan. If you do not have UCSHIP, you have the option to purchase the medication at cash price and submit the receipt to your insurance for a reimbursement.

How to contact UCR SHS?

You can contact your PCP by making an appointment with them at The SHS Health Center (when possible) or by sending them a secure message via the patient portal with your diagnosis and provider information.

When will UCSHS no longer accept retro referrals?

Effective September 2021, UCSHS will no longer process any post service or retro referral requests. You must have an approved referral prior to receiving services.

What happens if your provider deems it medically necessary?

At your visit, if your provider deems it medically necessary, they will generate a referral for you.

Do you need a referral for UC Ship?

Please note that only those actively enrolled in UC SHIP are required to obtain a referral from their PCP before seeking treatment with a specialist outside of The UCR SHS Center. The UCR SHS Center is unable to coordinate referrals for students who have waived UC SHIP. Non-SHIP students should coordinate their care with their own private health insurance company to verify coverage and benefits.
